validateDate() doesn't take String date(Tawainese, Japanese, Chinese... date)

Summary: validateDate() doesn't take String date(Tawainese,
                    Japanese, Chinese... date)
           Product: Struts
           Version: 1.1 Final
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Validator Framework
        AssignedTo: struts-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: yansheng.lin@isogis.com

Current date format doesn't support the "King yy" format.

These date formats are very popular in their countries. For example, a lot of
documents and ids use these format. Is struts designed for an international
audience?

Thanks!
