missing xml.jar file

i recently installed the tomcat-3.0-0.noarch.rpm on a redhat (6.1) linux box,
running sun's jdk 1.2.2, and the rpm doesn't seem to include xml.jar file, which
should be located in /opt/tomcat/lib after install, and is necessary to run the
app. when attempting to run startup.sh, i received an error that some
com/sun/xml class wasn't found, and looking through tomcat.sh i noticed a
reference to xml.jar. after downloading tomcap.zip, i noticed it was in there,
so i popped it in the lib directory and everything seems to be working.

am i confused, or did you leave out an important jar file in the rpm?
