[jira] Created: (MRM-1340) some artifacts are shown as "not found"

some artifacts are shown as "not found"
---------------------------------------

                 Key: MRM-1340
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1340
             Project: Archiva
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: browser, Web Interface
    Affects Versions: 1.4
            Reporter: Brett Porter

This should no longer occur with the metadata updates, but there are some artifacts showing as not found. This occurs when they are referenced by another project but do not exist themselves (an incomplete transitive closure).

They should not be appearing in the browse page if they are incomplete.

I have a feeling I may have fixed this with something else. If they aren't showing up in browse, then I'd say close as "cannot reproduce". Thanks!

I do not know how to replicate this.

I tried uploading an artifact with junit, which doesn't exist in my managed repo, as its dependency and the junit did not show up when I click 'Browse'.

Does this mean the junit will show up in the artifact's dependency tree?

I couldn't check it right now because when I click the Dependency Tree tab I'm getting an exception.

Was able to replicate this somehow.

I uploaded the commons-lang artifact and when I clicked on the Dependencies tab, the junit shows up. When I click the link 3.8.1, I got an error "Artifact Not Found".

IIUC, the junit should not show up under the Dependencies tab since it doesn't exist?
