redirect to tapestry page

All,

I've got an existing JSP page that should redirect to a new Tapestry
page.

The supplied tapestry jsp tags are good for writing out a link to a
given page, but I can't find a way of then redirecting to that forward
url.

I was hoping that this would work:
<c:if test="${not empty param.blah}">
     <c:set var="redirectURL">
         <tapestry:external-url page="SpotQuotePage" servlet="/tapestry"
parameters="${param.blah}" />
     </c:set>
     <c:redirect url="${redirectURL}"/>
</c:if>
but it doesn't. (I get a run-time exception
javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: I/O exception messaging servlet
/tapestry: Illegal to flush within a custom tag)

How can I do this without resorting to hard-coding the tapestry url?

Many thanks,
