The couchdb at github is not updated. Its latest commit is from October 1st.

There was a period when the couchdb.git repository at git.apache.org
wasn't being updated after CouchDB switched from svn.apache.org to the
Git repository, but now the git.apache.org version should follow the
canonical Git repository, and so the Github clone (that follows the
git.apache.org repo) should get updated.
I suggest you file an issue at Github support for them to check what's wrong.
