[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-10610) Move PerfEval out of test jar

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-10610?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13912228#comment-13912228 ]

Nick Dimiduk commented on HBASE-10610:
--------------------------------------

If we're promoting this thing, should compare it to LoadTestTool and consider folding in features if at all possible. No sense in having multiple implementations for basic smoketesting.

> Per comments on HBASE-10592, PerformanceEvaluation should be promoted from the test jar into the main distribution. This will require firming up its APIs (if any) and it should have some tests as well. Finally, consider adding a new command target for it to bin/hbase.
