Validation Clears entered values within the form

Dear All 

 

            I have a form, that when a validation error occurs, clears
all the entries in any of the input fields (I believed the default was
to restore the old values). This is the only form that I have that
exhibits this behaviour. The one diffrerence I can see is that I have a
eventValueChangeListener on one of my drop down boxes, which when
triggered (and a new value present), will render a quick response. But
event on a full form submit with a validation error, it clears the
previous entries. 

 

I hope I have explained this adequately. 

 

 

Any help with this would be appreciated,
