Unable to compile 1.4
Hi,
I am having troubles compiling latest 1.4 from svn repository.
I get:
Writing: xxx/lenya-1.4.x/build/lenya/webapp/sitemap.xmap
Error in: xxx/lenya-1.4.x/src/confpatch/form-encoding.xweb
BUILD FAILED
xxx/lenya-1.4.x/src/targets/init-build.xml:91: IOException:
java.io.IOException: XPath
(/web-app/servlet/init-param[param-name='form-encoding']/param-value)
returned not one node, but 0 nodes
Any idea how to fix this ?

you need cocoon 2.1.7 to compile lenya 1.2 and trunk

You are quite right. this now works without any modification in web.xml.
I also add to declare method advance() to throw UsecaseException in
GroupMembers.java and UserGroups.java and it now builds just fine.

these two blocks should not even be enabled in your cocoon build. my
guess is that you built cocoon independently and the lenya build process
found your pre-built cocoon. if it does not, it builds cocoon with the
proper local.blocks.properties.
delete the build directory in cocoon and try again

I was using cocoon 2.1.6. I switched to 2.1.7 and now I get:
Writing: xxx/lenya-1.4.x/build/lenya/webapp/sitemap.xmap
Processing: xxx/lenya-1.4.x/src/confpatch/form-encoding.xweb
Error in: xxx/lenya-1.4.x/src/confpatch/logger-class.xweb
BUILD FAILED
xxx/lenya-1.4.x/src/targets/init-build.xml:91: IOException:
java.io.IOException: XPath (/web-app/servlet) returned not one node, but
3 nodes
I had to comment out 2 <servlet> sections in the cocoon's web.xml that
were added by the cocoon build process: "Slide's WebDAV servlet" and
"XMLDB Block, Xindice XML-RPC Server servlet"
It now goes further and fails at compiling GroupMembers.java:
xxx/lenya-1.4.x/src/java/org/apache/lenya/cms/ac/usecases/GroupMembers.java:63:
unreported exception org.apache.lenya.cms.usecase.UsecaseException; must
be caught or declared to be thrown
super.advance();
As this is the first time I try to compile Lenya 1.4, I am wondering if
I took the right code: "svn co

Which version of cocoon are you using?
I think you need 2.1.7
For 2.1.6 or older, you have to uncomment the form-encoding block in
web.xml of cocoon.
