[VOTE] Approach Incubator PMC regarding Graduation
We have been discussing graduation for some time now. I now believe we
have reached the point where we as a community can vote on whether _we_
feel ready for that step.
Assuming we do feel so inclined, I would start a vote on
general@incubator about graduation for Felix. If successful, I would put
a resolution to the ASF Board requesting the creation of a new TLP.
As we now have wiki, website, and have removed all inappropriately
licensed code, we are ready to hold our vote. Note, only Felix PPMC
members have binding votes here, but we wish to hear from all interested
parties in the Felix community.
Here's the vote:
[ ] +1 Request Graduation
[ ] 0 No opinion
[ ] -1 We are not ready
If you vote -1, please do provide some info to help us along the way :-)
So, please cast your votes.
Regards, Upayavira

I don't think the community at large knows about the PMC chair
situation. I thought I'd restate it here so the community is aware.
The PPMC did not make a formal announcement to the dev list about this.
I guess this is the formal announcement :).
The PMC has agreed to have Upayavira as the interim PMC Chair while he
is grooming Richard Hall for the position.

I am now (after a whole week) drawing this vote to a conclusion. I think
we can consider it a success! We had 8 binding +1s, four +1s from
non-PPMC committers, and 15 non-binding community votes.
I am particularly pleased with the figure of 15 non-committer
non-binding votes, as it shows a widespread interest in the well-being
of Felix amongst the wider community.
I will now set about the finalising of the status page, and when
complete, will initiate a vote on general@incubator.
Regards, Upayavira

I haven't been able to do some real work with Felix yet unfortunately,
but we're still planning to write a modest section on Felix as part of
Wicket In Action.

Non-binding votes are great because they show that there's a community
out there, beyond just the committers, that wants to use a TLP Felix.
Thanks for the vote!
