[jira] [Resolved] (PIVOT-755) Improve User Experience when using Pivot Applets/Applications from the Web Site

Sandro Martini resolved PIVOT-755.
----------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

Generated pack200 jars (both unsigned and signed), and put in the lib folder of the web site, in svn.

For example see here: http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/pivot/site/trunk/www/lib/

Verify if (to avoid wasting space in svn, bandwith and time in upload, etc) it's enough to put them in the deploy/lib instead of putting them in the www/lib and run ant update site task (to copy them, and of course to udpate the rest of web site).

>From now, this should be done after any release.

> TODO list:
> - add a pack200 version of Pivot jars, for smaller/faster downloads ... and stripping out debug info, for reducing them so much
> -- for unsigned (standard) and for signed jars
> - enable jnlp links, to re-enable execution via Java Web Start ... this is already tracked by a specific issue
> - etc ...
> Note that this ticket is not related to a specific release because should be repeated at any new release ...
> If someone has some other ideas ...
