Field return null values

hi ,
 
I am new to Lucene.
 
while i m using the demo along with lucene ,
i am getting the values for fields :- summary,contents,title as Null.
also the date i m getting is in some format like this "0donrae8g".
 
can anyone tell me whats the reason for this behavior.
 
PS : I have indexed on html documents
