[jira] Created: (JS2-410) Add a demo MapServer Portlet
Add a demo MapServer Portlet
----------------------------
Key: JS2-410
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JS2-410
Project: Jetspeed 2
Type: Improvement
Components: Demo Portlets
Reporter: Philip Mark Donaghy
This demo uses the MapServer Bridge and the default MapServer demo application. It demostrates MapServer in the Jetspeed container. Panning, zooming, and queries are supported. A main map, reference map, scale bar, and legend are included.
There is one issue, the paths to the MapServer binary and the MapFile are hard coded in the portlet.xml. I am going to patch it with a relative path solution.
http://wiki.apache.org/portals/MapServerPortlet describes the contents of the archive. This issue, http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PB-31, describes the MapServer Bridge.

[jira] Updated: (JS2-410) Add a demo MapServer Portlet
Posted by "Philip Mark Donaghy (JIRA)" <je...@portals.apache.org>.
Philip Mark Donaghy updated JS2-410:
------------------------------------
Attachment: mapserver.diff
mapserver.tar.gz
This archive contains a modified version of the MapServer workshop demo. MapServer is released under a simplified BSD license so it shouldn't be an issue. There should be metion of acknowledgement to the MapServer team (Steve Lime and others).
