Re: [VOTE] Migrate ArchetypeNG to Apache & commit privs for Raphael

Ok, we already really had a passing vote to bring this over here that
was sat on due to the controversy raised, so I haven't changed my
vote there:

+1 to ArchetypeNG coming in

(Please make sure an IP clearance form is submitted for the code).

I already believe Raphaël has demonstrated enough merit through his
contributions to the list(s), efforts on Archetype, and general
persistence with this, so:

+1 to Raphaël as a committer

I'm interested to know if anyone else is having success with the
current code, though, given the number of +1's. I couldn't get it to
run at all - after 5 attempts and fixes I'd need to code read to get
any further. Not a blocker to bringing it across, though - as I've
said before I'd rather work through those kind of issues here. I'll
start a new thread to catalogue them for now and we can push anything
left over into JIRA once the code moves over. Just to be clear that I
expect there'll still be plenty of work to do before the first
release of this can go out.

Yup, it all builds and I've been running it for a couple weeks now
and I have no problem taking responsibility for the code migration as
a whole.

Bit too much to get in there just now - we don't need to rush that
part, I just wanted to make sure they were known.

Most important thing is to do the licensing/packaging and get it
imported (which I guess Jason is taking the lead on).

Enjoy your holidays :)

Please add some jira and assign them to me.
I will only have time for this after the 15/07
(after holidays)

There is the user documentation that is not accurate (least i can say ;-) )
The codebase is ugly
The codebase is not well documented
