Yesterday, we killed our Apache via "kill -TERM". The server normaly
restarts via crontab after some minutes. This failed because Apache
could not bind to Port 80. "netstat -an" showed that this port
was in state BOUND. There were no other httpd processes running and no
zombies. Just a reboot could solve the problem.
Is this an Apache or Solaris problem ?

Oh of course 1.2b8 is stable and bug free ;) No really, we're hoping to
make it the 1.2 release candidate.

Thanks,
I will try it - however our Apache is now running stable as usual :-)
Hope that this stays so.

A fix went into 1.2b8 that is closely related to this. If you could try
the 1.2b8 snapshot at <ftp://ftp.apache.org/httpd/from-cvs/> and tell us
if it fixes the problem that'd be great.
Thanks
