"pseudo attribute name is expected" PROBLEM

When I run ant I get this error:

<deneb:~/gridedit>$ ant
Buildfile: build.xml

BUILD FAILED
/a/home/Agena/podollb/gridedit/build.xml:1: A pseudo attribute name is expected. 

Total time: 1 second
<deneb:~/gridedit>$

Is that because my home directory is an NFS mount?
