[jira] Created: (HARMONY-885) [classlib][core][drlvm] unexpected
LinkageError for ClassLoader.defineClass
[classlib][core][drlvm] unexpected LinkageError for ClassLoader.defineClass
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: HARMONY-885
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-885
Project: Harmony
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Classlib
Reporter: Vladimir Ivanov
According to J2SE specifications for method java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(byte[] b, int off, int len):
"Throws: ClassFormatError - if the data did not contain a valid class "
But Harmony API +DRLVM throws LinkageError in this case.
=================== test.java =======================
public class test {
public static void main (String [] args) {
try {
byte[] array0 = new byte[] { 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2};
new CL().defineKlass(array0, 0, 3);
System.out.println("exception expected");
} catch (ClassFormatError e) {
System.out.println("Test passed: " + e);
} catch (Throwable e) {
System.out.println("Test failed: unexpected exception: " + e);
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
}
class CL extends ClassLoader {
public Class defineKlass(byte[] a, int i1, int i2) throws ClassFormatError {
return super.defineClass(a, i1, i2);
}
}
