   Interesting, yeah, I see where you are coming from but I think I agree with hussain's comment.  If you are using the default trigger rules and the upstream task failed, then this one shouldn't run, I wouldn't call that "finished".  If anything I'd say that deserves a `ti.skipped.<foo>`.
