PR available at [https://github.com/apache/sling-org-apache-sling-distribution-core/pull/44,] please review. Right now I am not entirely sure if everything works as before, because the SCR annotations were sometimes used in ways I am not very familiar with, so I cannot say if all has been converted properly.
