OpenMeetings Performance in a VM
Hi,
I am using Open Meetings in Virtual Box. It is running on Ubuntu.
Is there any special configuration of Open Meetings that I can do to
improve performance.
I can see I can tweak some Java stuff, is there anything else ?
Thanks,
Dan

The jodconverter-core-3.0-beta-4 was not unzipped in the right place
when I installed OM.
I just needed to move it to /opt
Works great now.

Upper in the logs you should see full "jod" command
Something like "java -cp ....."
Try to execute it on server
Additionally it better use the user used ro start OM, since this might be
permission issue

Uploading File Error #2032
Posted by Daniel Baker <in...@collisiondetection.biz>.
Hi,
OpenMeetings Version: 3.1.2 Revision 1756072
Moodle: 3.1
Moodle Open Meeting's Module : Release 2.0.0.5
I have started recieving this error when I try to upload files into a
room. The upload fails with this error:
"[IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false
eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032"]'
Does anyone know why and how to solve the problem?
Thanks

RE: OpenMeetings Performance in a VM
Posted by "Coscend@OM" <OM...@Coscend.com>.
Dear Usman,
Here are a few things to look at:
To access OpenMeetings,
OM:
Admin-> Config-> Application.base.url: http://live-ip/
Use proxy server: http://localhost:5080 <http://localhost:5080/> " to http://live-ip/
$RED5_HOME/Red5.properties: Use 80
$RED5_HOME/webapps/$OM_CONTEXT/Config.xml: 80
Firewall (both hardware and OS)
port: 80 open
For screensharing, additionally,
Install Java 8.
Java control panel: Edit site list -> Add your site
Thank you.
Sincerely,

I'm on the vacation right now, you might want to use latest 3.1.4
It has more stable room for 10+ users
Additionally you can set up database on separate server to save ram/CPU for om. Please ensure internet to db is fast enough.

Is there any special configuration of Open Meetings that I can do to improve performance.
I can see I can tweak some Java stuff, is there anything else ?
