+1 for a lenya first friday

http://wiki.cocoondev.org/Wiki.jsp?page=FirstFriday

if we have it the same day as cocoon we can benefit from more people
around to ask about cocoon "features" :)

Hello devs,

in this wiki I puted some FIXME. So feel free to fill the gaps.

Maybe we can add some more prepared buzilla queries to that page, so
that user can easier get started with bugzilla ;-).

I used the Cocoon ProjektManagement Site as template for the page. There
is a point virtual meeting. Is somebody interessted in having them on a
regular basis? Maybe once per month or something like that?

What do you think?

Ok, IMHO u are absolutely right. I will go and remove Lenya1.4 for since
this was just a scratchpad for me in a late night :)

LenyaIssues is obsolet.
Lenya2.0 and Lenya1.4 are not very well structured and seem not to be a
real plan for the releases despite they suppose to be something like
that. No user will use these ones to suggest something!

I have seen you are using the key "Target Milestone" in bugzilla.
I would highly recommend to reassemble these pages "LenyaIssues",
"Lenya1.4", "Leny2.0" to bugzilla and leave one page for open discussion
with the end user. (Of course with a clear pointer to Bugzilla.)

I agree.

There currently exist at least four Wiki-pages containing suggestions and
wishes: LenyaIssues, Lenya2.0, Lenya1.4, Wishlist4Lenya

How about encouraging the end user to post his wish on
lenya-users? Then we can discuss whether it is something
new and worth to be considered (--> Bugzilla).

I can understand you there. I would love to use another project
management tool then bugzilla. Like you stated bugzilla is quite scary
for a user that just want to add feature request. ...and I strongly
believe that nearly no one will look up the feature he want, because he
don't know how!

...but if you do then you more then welcome to use it because it is for
us devs heaps easier!

In general u are right at this point.

No, thats not true. It is for everyone who feels to use it. That is also
welcome and appreciated. Using bugzilla is a very efficient way (for
[power] users) to communicate with developers to get real outcome and
consequences of reports.

Developers will reorganize bugzilla entries if appropriate. That is part
of their job.

So u are a power user :)

I'm afraid bugzilla is a too high barrier for a end user to post to, and
bugzilla is a tool for devs. An user don't know how to split a feature
into tasks and wishes are often very global if you understand what I
mean. (For me I'm familar with bugzilla ;-) and I know how to difficult
it is to get someone to post into it)

At least it is a decision of you the devs. If you like I will change the
Wishlistpage to a text like this:

"If you have a suggestion or feature requests, please look into bugzilla
first by searching for features. Then feel free to post your request
directly into bugzilla".

So decide:

-1 delete the extra wishlist
0 encourage the end user to query and post into bugzilla
+1 keep a common wishlist for reviewing and discussing before enter into
bugzilla

Cool, but I think it is better if u create bugzilla entries for feature
requests. That way we can directly assign the appropriate milestones
after review of the entry.

Hello,

I have added the page
http://wiki.cocoondev.org/Wiki.jsp?page=Wishlist4Lenya in the Todo
section of http://wiki.cocoondev.org/Wiki.jsp?page=Lenya

I think this is better than post wishes directly in the Lenya1.4 or
Lenya2.0 pages, since other users can't decide where their wishes have
to go to.
