The above files [^setup-tunnels-remote.sh] (to set up a bunch of concurrent SSH sessions and [^ssh-load-remote.sh] (to kick off a bunch of concurrent downloads from a remote site on the internet) are enough to reproduce this issue, with only 1 {{NIO_WORKER}} thread configured.
In general, the higher the bandwidth of the transfer, the easier it is to reproduce with fewer sessions and fewer concurrent downloads.
I have reproduced locally with only 1 {{NIO_WORKER}} thread and one session, and one locally-forwarded download from an HTTP server on my laptop.

> In both Mina-SSHD 0.14.0 and 1.0.0 the server will become deadlocked if multiple concurrent downloads are started over a locally-forwarded TCP socket. In this state the process is still alive and client connections stay open, but no data can be transmitted and new connections will not be accepted - when inspected via telnet, the SSH port will not even return a banner.
