[jira] Created: (TS-58) Logging: Unified logging
Logging: Unified logging
------------------------
Key: TS-58
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-58
Project: Traffic Server
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Logging
Affects Versions: 2.0a
Environment: All platforms
Reporter: George Paul
Priority: Minor
There is a request to unify the logging in Traffic Server system. This would entail modifying the Diagnostic logging system to use the internal transaction logging system which uses non-locking buffers and a separate thread. The changes would affect both the Traffic Server and Traffic Manager which use the Diagnostic logging for event logging similar to syslog().
