Tested OpenOffice 4.0.1 with Swedish language pack

Dear Sirs,

I have installed OO 4.0.1 US English. In addition, I installed Swedish language pack 4.0.1.

I see that some of the translations I made are not the last version. It is an earlier version. I guess this is because the sofware was compiled before I finished the translation. I guess they compiled the software before I finished, but I am still a little surprised that so many translations I made were missing. Although, I can see some of them.

Comments to OpenOffice 4.0.1:

I really like the right side pane with decks for easy, intuitive, convenient formatting.

What I miss is that it is still dificult to use customized colors. I think all color selection panels (pop-ups) should have a buttom at the bottom that leads to the "color manager" found in OpenOffice Draw→Format→Area→Colors where one can add colors.

I think I have found some bugs here and there, but I guess other people will also find them (in any language version).

I see that the translation "Navigatör" is used for 'Navigator' at several places, and that looks really good. I think we should stick to using "Navigatör" in Swedish.

/Stefan

This is natural. You can continue doing so (I also made some small fixes
to the Italian translation yesterday). But with the current process you
need to ask explicitly when you want the Pootle strings to be imported
into the source code. Anyway, your work in Pootle is not lost and it
will be reused in future versions.

Regards,
   Andrea.

Andrea,

In your link below I saw that the Swedish version was built Mon Sep 16 15:57:15 2013. This was a earlier than I realized. It is dificult to exactly recapitulate what has happened, but I have no prof that changes before were not included, so I have no suspiction that the importation of translations went wrong.

I think I never realized that a final import was made. Since the import I made revisions of things, and went through to check that the same term was translated consistently at all places. Some of the translations I made, I went back to improve. As I worked on the Help project, I discovered things to improve also in the "Regular" project. But I never realized that the final import/build had already been made.

/Stefan

Strange. This is the revision history for Swedish:
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/openoffice/trunk/extras/l10n/source/sv/localize.sdf?view=log

Have you done changes in Pootle after the last update? In this case,
it's normal that they are missing, you need to explicitly ask for
integration.

If you cannot see changes that you have done BEFORE the update, then we
must look into it. We just need a few examples so that we can check.

Regards,
   Andrea.
