The page links to source control and development snapshots.
Such code has not been formally voted on - i.e. is not an official release
- and as such must not be promoted on pages intended for the general
public. Such links should only be used on pages aimed at developers of
PDFBox.

Also the page still mentions MD5 hashes, even though there are none.

Further:

"% gpg --verify pdfbox-X.Y.Z-src.zip.asc"

should read

"% gpg --verify pdfbox-X.Y.Z-src.zip.asc pdfbox-X.Y.Z-src.zip"

i.e. both asc and artifact need to be provided on the command line.
