we should ship with xalan 2.6.0 in 1.2.1

xalan 2.6.0 is a known quantity, and each newer release of xalan bears a
risk of introducing new regressions. i appreciate your offer, but i
think it would be a mistake to do this so shortly before the release.

I just wanted to show where the problem was and why we upgraded. ;-)
Another posibility is compile a newer xalan version. I can do that if we
are OK with this.

In cocoon we try to not use non released version of jars. But in the xalan
case, here is why we did that:

that is true, but at least one of these issues is actually a regression
in xalan.

This is unfortunate since it again complicates the install but its
the fastest way to get lenya-1.2.1 out. We should try to close
these defects so we can ship with the latest xalan for lenya-1.2.2.
If we go with cocoon-2.1.6, then we will have to include to ship
lenya with xalan-2.6.0. Also need to update the installation
documentation about this.
