PDActionURI action

Hello all,

Do you know how to specify in a PDActionURI, the action to undertake when the user clicks on the link ?
On my machine, it opens the Apple Preview but on another machine it seems to rather open the web browser.

Is there a way to solve that ?

I'm not seeing anything there that suggests otherwise. Can you point me
directly to it?

To the best of my knowledge, you can't specify in the PDF where the file is
opened. It's up to the system/browser.

Hello, that was my first idea but this forum made me doubt :

Of course there're the mime types and so if the link ends with "PDF" the OS
will open it using the defined application, but... is it really the case ?
Is there not a specific parameter stored within the action link object
itself ? (and maybe it's not supported by PDFBox ..)

This is not something that you can set in the PDF itself. It has to do with
the default URL handler of the system.
The PDF viewer simply sends the URL to the OS and it in turn passes it on
to the application that is associated with that protocol.
