installing Cocoon with Tomcat

Good morning:

I have several questions about installing Cocoon 1.7.4 for use with Tomcat
3.1. I was running Cocoon with JServ, but had problems with another
servlet I was using so I had to upgrade to Tomcat.

I'm trying to serve XML and PDF files from my user directory. I've
followed the instructions in the install guide for cocoon, and the
installation instructions for Tomcat. Tomcat is running fine in its
standalone mode, but I can't get apache to hand XML files to tomcat. Any
ideas as to what I'm doing wrong there?

I'm not sure whether you should or not, but I created a context for cocoom
within Tomcat. Should I do this or should I do something else? the install
guide doesn't mention that one way or another.

Any ideaas or suggestions?
Thanks
Carlos
