[users@httpd] Error not in gzip format while decompressing !
Hello,
I'm installing Apache on my Redhat Linux. I've downloaded
httpd-2.0.52.tar.bz2 . GNU TAR version is installed on system.
When I tried to decompress by using ......
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
tar xvzf httpd-2.0.52.tar.gz OR gzip -d httpd-2.0.52.tar.gz
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm receiving folowing error ....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also I tried for httpd-2.0.52.tar.bz2
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
bunzip2 httpd-2.0.52.tar.bz2
---------------------------------------------------------------
I received following error
bunzip2: httpd-2.0.52.tar.bz2 is not a bzip2 file.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Same errors I'm receving for
mysql-4.0.21.tar.gz & php-4.3.9.tar.gz
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can anybody give some pointers for resolving this issue !
thnx & regards,
Sachin
