When I moved the HCatalog code into Hive I put it all under trunk/hcatalog (as we had discussed).  However this is causing checkouts and 'ant tar' both to pick up the old hcatalog branches, which is not what we want.  We need to move this branch code somewhere else.  Two options have been suggested:
# Put it in branches, prefixing 'hcatalog-' to the branch name.  So trunk/hcatalog/historical/branches/branch-0.5 would move to branches/hcatalog-branch-0.5
# Put it in a top level hcatalog-historical directory.

Either is fine, but we need to do this soon to avoid plugging checkouts and builds with dead code.
