jetspeed-fusion problems (getRemoteUser() returns null, missing CSS)

Hi!

I tried running the portlet app I'm working on with jetspeed-1.6.
So far I have just been using my portlets with J2. I found two problems
with the J1.6+fusion portal:

1. the portlet requests getRemoteUser() method always returns null.
2. the CSS classes listed in the JSR-168 specs are undefined

i could define my own CSS, but I'd rather not if someone has already
done the work. besides it would be nice to have different CSS classes
for each skin.
i don't know what to do about the username. is there any other (JSR-168
compliant) way to get the username from the request/session? or is there
a fix?

 Edmund
