[jira] Commented: (OFBIZ-372) Itemize tax in POS receipts

Dan Shields commented on OFBIZ-372:
-----------------------------------

Iain, do you think the status of this issue will change in the near future? I have the motivation to push through with a solution of my own, but I am not sure my way will be of any use to anyone else. If you have an approach I wouldn't mind hearing more about it; perhaps we can work towards something of mutual benefit. My own take on things involves implementing proper receipt printing for requirements in Canada. The TaxAuthority system is quite straightforward, however, some more flexibility in the substitutions performed on the receipt template are required in order to get access to the additional data I need.

> In a GST/VAT environment where product prices are stored exTax, it is not possible to display the tax-inclusive price of items on store receipts. The receipt generation code only allows for the display of the total tax for the order.
> To improve the flexibility of receipt formatting, I propose to add two additional tags, "salesTax" and "subtotalPlusTax" to the receipt generation capability.
