[jira] [Created] (ACCUMULO-1313) Use annotations to filter/hide sensitive configuration properties when logging

Christopher Tubbs created ACCUMULO-1313:
-------------------------------------------

Summary: Use annotations to filter/hide sensitive configuration properties when logging
                 Key: ACCUMULO-1313
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-1313
             Project: Accumulo
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Christopher Tubbs
            Assignee: Christopher Tubbs
             Fix For: 1.6.0

We've made other efforts to hide properties that are sensitive (passwords, secrets), but the previous efforts have been susceptible to changes, especially the addition of new configuration properties whose sensitivity has been overlooked.

We can filter these pretty easily with a @Sensitive or @Hidden annotation, so we don't have to add explicit filtering rules to hide these properties.
