[Bug 57670] New: Question about javaEncoding of a generated-from-jsp
java file
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=57670
Bug ID: 57670
Summary: Question about javaEncoding of a generated-from-jsp
java file
Product: Tomcat 7
Version: unspecified
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: Jasper
Assignee: dev@tomcat.apache.org
Reporter: bluewolf.chung@gmail.com
I've already checked
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=19622
that there's no specific reason that UTF-8 is hard-coded for javaEncoding.
Why are the jsp page encoding and the encoding of generated java file different
each other?
Couldn't we just use the jsp page encoding for generating and compiling its
java file?
