[jira] [Created] (INFRA-4865) Can no longer edit the "people"
section of JIRA Administration for Hadoop projects
Aaron T. Myers created INFRA-4865:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Can no longer edit the "people" section of JIRA Administration for Hadoop projects
Key: INFRA-4865
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4865
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: public (Regular issues)
Components: JIRA
Reporter: Aaron T. Myers
Ever since the most recent JIRA version upgrade, I've been unable to add people as contributors to the projects for which I am a JIRA administrator. I can click in the box to do so, and it becomes editable, but when I begin to type a username a JS error dialog appears that says:
{quote}
The JIRA server could not be contacted. This may be a temporary glitch or the server may be down.
{quote}
As far as I can tell, my account appears to be able to perform all other JIRA actions I expect it to be able to.

<pctony> Aaron, are you using Chrome by any chance? We have had one other report of this, but I have as yet been unable to re-produce it. I personally run chrome without issue. Perhaps try FF, or blow away your cache.

Hmmmm. Interesting. I do run Chrome. I just tried FF, and indeed it worked without issue. I also just cleared as much cache as I could in Chrome, and it appears to now work as well.
Thanks a lot for your help! This issue can be resolved.
