Hi Team, 

I am inserting data from CSV file to hive external table. 

There are some data values which contains comma(",") and to deal with that i am using below SERDE command while creating a table. 

ROW FORMAT SERDE 'org.apache.hadoop.hive.serde2.OpenCSVSerde'

That is working. but there are few values which also contains a special character (for e.g. ä ,β etc.)

Which is not supported in HIve table. I can only see question mark symbol. 

Please look in to the issue and let me know if any more information required.
