I think nothing would stop us from;
1. A distro maintainer downloads and uses izPack.
2. That maintainer builds the installers locally on his/her desktop.
3. The maintainer "publish" the build on the servers.

It shouldn't be different from me running GPL'd tar or zip.

Anyone else have a legal view on this?
