[jira] Created: (DERBY-2211) java/testing/README.htm needs to be updated with information on JUnit tests

java/testing/README.htm needs to be updated with information on JUnit tests
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: DERBY-2211
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-2211
             Project: Derby
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Test
    Affects Versions: 10.3.0.0
            Reporter: Andrew McIntyre

Currently, the testing readme at java/testing/README.htm does not contain any information on running or developing Derby junit tests. This document should at least be updated with information on how to run Derby's junit tests. A description of the top-level suites and running the Ant junitreport target would be a good start.

[jira] Commented: (DERBY-2211) java/testing/README.htm needs to be updated with information on JUnit tests

Daniel John Debrunner commented on DERBY-2211:
----------------------------------------------

I added a initial section discussing the migration and pointing the the wiki for information on running and writing JUnit tests.
May not be the final solution, but while things are in flux I think it's easier to point to the wiki.

[jira] Resolved: (DERBY-2211) java/testing/README.htm needs to be updated with information on JUnit tests

Posted by "Bryan Pendleton (JIRA)" <ji...@apache.org>.

Bryan Pendleton resolved DERBY-2211.
------------------------------------

       Resolution: Fixed
    Fix Version/s: 10.6.0.0
         Assignee: Daniel John Debrunner

There were no objections, and I continue to believe that we can be successfully
maintaining this documentation principally on the wiki, so I'm resolving this
issue as fixed (by Dan's updates to the readme which point to the wiki).

----------------------------------------

I think that maintaining the information on the wiki is working well.

Any objections to marking this issue as Resolved / Fixed?
