Problems with Java extension under xalan - can't find the Java cl ass to include

Can anyone tell me where the Java file to include with extension has to be
located.
I load the xml and xsl files from a web server and that works well, but when
I tries to 
call a java function from the class I have made I always get the error
message that the 
java file was not found.
