No, there shouldn't be a relation, except perhaps the location
of the Java files (publets/search/java/src instead of src/java)
and of the usecase declaration (publets/search/usecases.xconf instead
of WEB-INF/cocoon-xconf.xsl).

Actually I see no interference, up to now the introduction of the
search publet was merely changing file locations (and I'm not planning
to apply more changes, apart from bugfixing).
