ActiveMQ listener not receivng messages already on queue after restart

I am having this problem with my Active MQ 5.1.0

I have a queue and 3 listeners configured to it.

I have like 400 messages posted to the queue, now all the listeners are
receving the messages and processing them

If i restart one of the listeners , then the restarted listener is not
receiving any messages. if i post new messages to the queue, it is able to
receive them.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

The FAQ is full of lots of useful bits of information...

Try changing your prefetch values...
