[jira] Created: (JSPWIKI-356) Sectional Editing: does not work at
all with IE6
Sectional Editing: does not work at all with IE6
------------------------------------------------
Key: JSPWIKI-356
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JSPWIKI-356
Project: JSPWiki
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Default template, Editors
Affects Versions: 2.7.x
Environment: JSPWiki-2.7.0-alpha-29
Reporter: Harry Metske
While Sectional Editing (SE) works fine for FF3, it does not work at all on IE6 on JSPWiki-alpha-29
SE does work fine with IE6 on JSPWiki-2.7.0-alpha-22 (currently in Sandbox).
I have enabled SE in my Prefs and I checked it again after saving it. If you go to a page with paragraphs/chapters, there are no [Edit] links beside each chapter.
If you select Edit (at the top of the page), you also do not get a JS popup where you can select the chapter.
I understand that IE6 support is under debate, but nevertheless something got broken between alpha-22 and alpha-29

Dirk Frederickx commented on JSPWIKI-356:
-----------------------------------------
Harry,
IE6 support is still targeted for SectionEditing, so your test results are much appreciated ;-)
When I test with IE6, the [Edit] links are rendered ok, so can you provide some details. Also the popup is properly rendered in Edit mode. Possibly the cookie is not properly set. (although should be ok for alpha-29)
I'm still working on some minor css styling issues on the section-selection list for IE6. For the rest, it should work fine.

Resolution: Fixed
Yep, removing cookies and clearing browser cache did the trick, sorry for the bother.
