Currently we have {{groups}} defined as user property. As it's used in surefire and failsafe, I think it's not good way to rename it {{surefire.group}} or {{failsafe.group}}.

Proposed name for this: {{maven.test.groups}}.

I am open for any suggestion. Once we finalize name to use, I will provide a PR for this
