fop 0.20.3 -> fop 0.20.4 : font problem

Hello everbody,

after migrating from fop 0.20.3 to fop 0.20.4, i have problems integrating user defined fonts.

it all peaks in:

[ERROR] Failed to read font metrics file <correctpathToFontFile>/AkzidenzGroteskCE-Bold.xml : null

the path is correct and everything works fine under 0.20.3.

searching the archive i found a threading issue, but this was concerning an earlier release.

It could be some baseDir related issue, in fop 0.20.4 relative font-metric 
urls are resolved relatively to baseDir property. Another idea - chances are 
you are using some other xml parser instead of xerces, and it refuses to parse 
xml document at file-name-like URI, what is actually right, see
