tomcat not working
I have set up, ports as below
<Server port="8005" shutdown="SHUTDOWN"> <-- whats the eaning of snhutdown
here ? -->
<!-- Define a non-SSL HTTP/1.1 Connector on port 8080 -->
<Connector port="8080" maxHttpHeaderSize="8192"........./>
Now when I run the "http://localhost:8080", I get an error essage "Internet
Explorer cannot display the webpage "
what is wrong in here ?

Lots of things, such as you not telling us the Tomcat version you're using, the JDK/JRE it's running on, the platform this is all installed on, the complete contents of server.xml, how you're starting Tomcat, and any messages in the Tomcat logs - for starters.
