           Summary: Make Configuration Serializable
           Product: Commons
           Version: 1.1 Final
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Configuration
        AssignedTo: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: thedew@hotmail.com

It would be nice if org.apache.commons.configuration.Configuration extended
java.io.Serializable and its implementations were serializable as well.
Theoretically, most configurations are constructed from "serialized" data
sources.
