    Hi @vidhu5269, thanks for the PR!
    I agree that we should bump the Kafka 0.10 version, for various reasons (JAAS security feature enhancements, as well as the memory leak you mentioned in the JIRA).
    
    Did you also check if the version bump resulted in any new dependencies?
    Also, have you tested this change on a actual cluster execution? We should do that for these version bumps, to test if there's any dependency issues.
