   @rnewson : thank you for the answer!
   http://docs.couchdb.org/en/latest/whatsnew/2.0.html#upgrade-notes says 
   > `all_or_nothing` is no longer supported by the bulk_docs API
   
   Does that mean the 417 response code is now never returned?
