   Just curious how this PR is showing closed but the commit has been merged. 
   
   Actually this way it doesn't showcase in my contributions stats.
   
   Is it something i missed while creating the PR which i need to take care in next one?

   No, you didn't do anything wrong!
   
   I merged it manually in order to add the name of the Jira ticket to the commit, and so that the commit would appear as "signed off" by me - if I used the GitHub merge PR feature I wouldn't have been able to do these things.
   
   However, the commit should appear in your GitHub contribution history. Maybe the email you used in the commit isn't in your GitHub profile? If that's the case, after you add it, GitHub will know that all the commits done by this email are yours.
