Fwd: ApacheCon Europe: Call for papers -deadline June 25

Folks,

This deadline is rapidly approaching. Please consider submitting some
talks on Brooklyn. ApacheCon is a great place to educate the larger
ASF community about your project, and perhaps generate some developer
interest as well.

The ApacheCon EU call for papers is open, and will close June 25th, end of
the day in "whatever timezone is latest".

The conference will take place in Budapest, Hungary, November 17 - 21, 2014.

For projects in incubation -this is a great chance to gain visibility, meet
people working on related projects, find users -and perhaps even recruit
them into the development team. Do put the time in to write and submit a
paper -it's as valuable as spending a morning looking a logs from test runs.

If you haven't done one before, don't be afraid to ask for a quick review
of the submission before you commit it -stick it up online on google doc,
your project or similar and then ask for some feedback. My recommendation:
make the talk sound interesting, the kind of thing you'd want to attend if
you read the title and a covering sentence in the list of talks, even if
you'd never heard of the project before.

Finally, f you are in or near the EU -put the date in your calendar and
plan to attend it -it's always a great conference!

-Steve
