error cannot "LoadModule jk_module libexec/mod_jk.so"

Hi,

  I'm using apache-1.3.14 and tomcat-3.2.1, I want to use mod_jk.

I can visit port 8080, every thing is ok.

Following "Working with mod_jk",I download and copy mod_jk.so to /www/libexec/, then chmod a+x mod_jk.so, and modify /usr/local/tomcat/conf/server.xml, and configuring Tomcat to use the Ajpv13 protocol, and Include /usr/local/tomcat/conf/mod_jk.conf-auto in my httpd.conf.

Now, I use startup.sh to start tomcat firstly, and use /www/bin/apachectl startssl to start apache, but it display

"Syntax error on line 8 of /usr/local/tomcat/conf/mod_jk.conf-auto:
Invalid command 'LoadModule', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration"

  why?

Delete the stuff under $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps. Tomcat automatically loads
everything under there as a context.

The time is right to make new friends.

You need to actually physically remove them out of ${java.home}/webapps

How to get rid of default context pathes

Posted by mikhail malamud <mi...@drexel.edu>.
I deleted default Context paths
/examples
/test
/admin

from the server.xml but they still show up when I start up the tomcat.
Where do I need to delete 'em?

Thanks,

Mikhail

Do you have mod_so support built into Apache? It's required for DSO support.
